A real quick note to my readers. I tested out a higher dosage of Selank for two weeks – 2.5mg a day. Honestly, I noticed very little added benefit at that dose and towards the end hardly noticed anything beneficial. It may be best used for a few days a week at .5mg in order to continue to reap the benefits. At the very least I have learned that more is not better with this drug.
As a side note: My brother takes adderall as prescribed by a physician for ADD. He has a horrible time keeping an appetite and a regular sense of calm during his usage of this drug. Selank has completely restored his appetite and reduced his anxiousness, without the sedation of something like clonazepam, which was his original attempt at curbing the anxiety. He does not feel sedated or dulled, rather his thoughts are clear and calm. He called it the same thing I did, and I never told him this before he tried it. He called it “Meditation in a bottle.” And I think that is very apt for this product. He has since ordered five more bottles.

Hey Disco, I read your article on selank and really liked what I read. I’m definetly going to giveita try. I have also experimented with a lot of drugs and have that dull mental feeling a lot of the time. I’m also sensitive to a lot of stuff now as well. I noticed you tried piracetam also, did you have any positive or negative effects from it ? Thanks for any info. You may offer
Piracetam is one of the gold standards in nootropics. It has so many different effects that it gets hard to isolate one reason why it does what it does. I personally think the biggest benefit comes from the ability of Piracetam to help connect the right with the left side of the brain. It increases communication in the gap between the two, leading to increased inter-hemispherical communication. It should be taken with a choline source like alpha gpc or just choline bitartrate. But I don’t think you will be too pleased with the results of Piracetam if you love the effects of Selank and want more of the same. Selank has a very definitive effect on mood and emotion. Piracetam, while it facilitates learning and creativity, doesn’t necessarily brighten mood. At best it makes people feel kind of spacey. I also never found it particularly useful if I was treating my body badly by getting poor sleep or partying a lot. Piracetam seems to feel the best when all the other ducks are in a row, so to speak. I have also tried aniracetam and nefiracetam. Aniracetam had a slight emotional boost to it and nefiracetam actually depressed me a bit.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with Selank. I`m very interested in this peptide and I just ordered a bottle of nasal spray online. If I get any effect I will probably try the subcutane route but since I`ve never did that before I figured it might be better to start with the easy method…
So are you cycling this stuff now or are you on a daily low dose ? And do you notice any withdrawal symptoms on the days you are not using it?
While I find Selank very interesting I`m a little worried it might share some bad properties of opioid substances. With my limited knowledge, my gess that boosting endorphins (like Selank seems to do) leads to desensitization of opiod receptors which leads to tolerance and withdrawal symptoms. Maybe even addiction potential ?
And if this is the case, I wonder if it could be countered by taking a very low dose of naltrexone at night ? (allthough this strategy has failed by most people who use exogenous opioids)
I`m very interested to hear your opinion on these questions
I would not worry about Selank having a dramatic impact on your opiate receptors like actual opiates. endorphins behave quite differently than opiates, and tend to be much gentler on the receptors. I will however, suggest that taking naltrexone as an adjunct to this therapy may be a really interesting combination. A very very low dose is all that is needed from naltrexone. Around 100-250mcg is sometimes all that is needed. Any more than that and some people, including myself, find the effects to linger much longer than desired and I end up feeling crappy the next day.
